There are many ways to support your library! First and foremost, let your legislators know you use the library and believe we deserve our funding so that we may continue to offer the materials and resources you want. Attend monthly board meetings, join the Friends of the Library group, donate things on our wish list (below), or donate money to be used for collection development.

- Subscription to the Post-Standard daily newspaper
- Subscriptions to magazines we do not get/or donations of your magazines after you've read them for us to put on the shelf
- Children's DVD's- especially Disney movies
- Music CD's
- DVD's of any kind
*DVD's & CD's do not need to be new- we accept used book and material donations all year!
The library is supported through funds from the Towns of Hastings and
Honor someone special by giving a gift to the library. Gifts to the collection may be in the form of money with a suggestion of what types of materials should be purchased or actual items. Gift and memorial plates are then placed in/on the gift item, and letters of acknowledgement are sent to the donor, the person being honored or to a family member of the person being remembered. A memorial gift form is available at the checkout desk; donors may also call or email the Library for more gift-giving information. All gifts are tax deductible.
Please consider the library when you are making estate plans. Over time, the financial health of our library will be assured if our friends and patrons, whom we have served for over 75 years, remember the Central Square Library when they are making decisions about gifts and bequests. Those who have preceded us valued libraries and have begun a legacy of support. It is our hope that, because you, too, value libraries, you will assist us in continuing this tradition.
