Looking for some great family entertainment on a hot summer evening? We have air conditioning and a fantastic program the whole family will enjoy. Jim McCarthy will be singing and promoting the joy of reading at the library on Thursday, July 18, at 6:30. Come in. Cool down and enjoy this wonderful program. Door prizes will be awarded to add to the fun.
Beginning Wednesday, July 3, 2019 the library's Story Hour time will change to 10 am. Children up to age 8 are welcome to come spend an hour coloring, listening to stories, participating in a craft activity, and enjoying a snack.
Families with small children will want to be sure to attend our "Talking Is Teaching" program on Monday, July 8, at 7 - 8 pm. Come find out how you can help your child's brain grow each time you talk, read and sing together. The evening will feature a Panel Discussion, Question and Answer session and $500 book and CD giveaway. Parents and caregivers won't want to miss this!
Central Square Library is excited to announce that we will be having a very special program during our Preschool Story Hour on Wednesday, June 26, at 1:00. Members from the Syracuse Symphoria Orchestra will be visiting us and we are looking forward to hearing some beautiful music and learning a little bit about musical instruments. Children of all ages are welcome along with adults. Come enjoy an hour of wonderful music.
Come take on our Trivia Challenge. It's fun and we won't judge you no matter how many answers you can't remember. It's a free evening of entertainment with lots of laughs and delicious snacks, too so bring a friend or family member and give it a try. The fun begins at 6:30.
Hey kids! Reading fun is awaiting you this summer. The Central Square Library is proud to sponsor a unique summer reading pogram for youth ages 3-18. Register during the month of June so you can participate this summer. The program will run from July 1 - August 17. Completed reading forms MUST be returned to the library on or before August 21. Information sheets may be picked up at the library when children and parents register.
