PRESCHOOL STORY HOUR CHANGES

     Our Preschool Story Hour will not be held on June 14 and 21. It will resume on Wednesday, June 28 at 1:00.

NO PRESCHOOL STORY HOUR MAY 10

     Due to another staff commitment, Story Hour on May 10 is cancelled. It will take place all other Wednesdays during May. The theme for May 3 is tacos. The May 17 theme will be flowers. On May 24 we will talk about pets and on May 31 we will read about frogs.

COME TO OUR PLANTING PARTY MAY 21

     The library has a great family activity planned for Sunday, May 21, at 2:00. Bring the whole family to a "Planting Party"! We will supply all the materials for each child to plant seeds that will be nurtured at home for approximately one month. At the end of the designated time period children will bring in their plant and have it measured and recorded. The child who has the plant that grew the most will win a great prize. Rereshments will be served at the party and you will register for the contest at that time. Come join us and get planting!

OFA REPRESENTATIVE HERE MAY 18

     The Oswego County Office for the Aging will have a representative at the library from 1:00-3:00 on Thursday, May 18. This is an excellent opportunity to hear a general overview of what the Office for the Aging has to offer.  Do you have questions about what is available to you? Need assistance completing applications? This is your chance to meet with a representative who can help you. For more information or to reserve a personal appointment call 315-349-3484.

ADULT COLORING NIGHT IS MAY 22

     Are you a bit stressed? Looking for something a little different to do? Why not try attending our Coloring Night? This is a fun, relaxing evening of conversation and coloring that will give you a beautiful piece of art that you will be proud to hang in your home. You may bring your own materials or purchase a gorgeous design from Marlene Roeder's "Circles of Life" collection to complete. There is always an opportunity to explore color combinations to express your individuality and the chance to meet new people and chat is always fun. We get started at 6:00.

MAY TRIVIA CHALLENGE SET FOR MAY 25

     Brush up on your trivia knowledge and grab a partner for this month's Trivia Challenge. Test your ability to recall fairly useless information for a chance to win great prizes  The fun starts at 6:30.  Refreshments will be served.

BOOK CLUB WILL MEET APRIL 7

The library's book club will meet on Friday, April 7 at 6:00. This month's book is entitled "The Life She Wants" by Robyn Carr.

TRIVIA CHALLENGE APRIL 27

     The next Trivia Challenge will be held on Thursday, April 27, at 6:30. Two person teams compete for valuable prizes by correctly answering questions on history, sports, entertainment, science, art, music, literature and anything else that is trivial in nature. Refreshments are served along with a dose of laughter that invariably leads to an evening of fun. This is a free monthly activity provided by your local library. Come see what it's all about.

COLORING CLUB WILL MEET APRIL 10

    Our Adult Coloring Club has become very popular. Marlene Roeder's "Circles of Life" designs are truly magnificent and worthy of framing when you complete them. Bring your own materials or purchase one of the available designs for $6.00. We welcome any new coloring enthusiasts to join us at the library on Monday, April 10, at 6 o'clock.
